Resurrection

Its been a very long time since I wrote a blog. Last year same time I was thinking that I would be starting my blog again and make it happening. But it really never took off.

Today I mad a resolution that I would start writing blog again let it be how small the writing may be but it had to be resurrected.

This is just the beginning there are Many More POSTS to come.

Politics

Well we have seen a lot of politics going on in India for quite a while i.e in A.P, Karnataka the elections and by-elections taking place. Now that has died down. But the interesting aspect in this is that..even though elections are taking place in one's backyard...the people were still trying to get news abt how the fight between Obama and Clinton was taking place. People were divided in the Democrats as against Republicans were the winner was already declared Mr.John McCain. The battle as we may call it, was very intense one and it was going head on head,till last month. And then the tides turn in favour of Obama and last week Clinton stepped down from the race and gave her full support for Obama. And she was hailed as the news agencies quoted "THE DEALMAKER", "THE KINGMAKER".
But lets not forget that, in a nation which has Democracy for the past 350+ yrs( sry for not knowing the exact time) a history WAS and IS in making. Why i say that is because till now there has never been a women president or a black president in the Oval office. It was a well contested fight between the 2 candidates of the same party to stand for the election. But in near future if US has a women president, then the credit would go to Hillary Clinton. As things turned out..the majority were voting for Obama, so Hillary had to stepped down at the 11th hour, so that the party goes with a candidate to the August convention, instead of two going and still making it uncertain,who will lead the campaing for the party.
So from now on....the Race for the WHITE HOUSE has begun in the two parties. I wud like to c Obama as the president for wht he says and also the policies he has given out.

Pankhudi Signature and Sanitation Drive

Weeks of our sincere efforts finally became successful. I take the pleasure of thanking all of you from the bottom of my heart for making this project a remarkable success.

Thank you Guys and Gals !!!

I'll just rush through the whole campaign. Guys, its a bit long mail rather very long, please don't get intimidated and I can assure reminisces of our campaign penned down in this mail will be really delightful.

Graffiti Campaign:

Volunteers from Oracle and Pankhudi, reached surprisingly at almost the correct time ( I would list +/- 30 minutes as correct time as per IST ;) ). Full of zeal and enthu, everyone jumped into blowing balloons. Even the gol-gappa walas weren't spared. They voluntarily enjoyed helping us to fullaofy (hinglish for blow) the balloons. I must applaud the girls for cajoling them. Ladki ka chakkar babubhai !!!!

One could hear bursting of balloons and shrieking of girls from all sides J.. You know girls can be scared of even a burst of a balloon.. Seriously, I am not pulling anyone's leg.

Some volunteers were busy holding the balloons,some fullaofying them and some writing messages on them : Adopt Orphans, Avoid poverty, Fight Illiteracy, Avoid Child labour and many more. A great idea Aparna and Jyoti !!!!

We divided ourselves into groups of two: one to IMAX and the other to Eat Street.

I was in Eat Street's Group and to our comfort, we got to put up our banner inside the Eat Street, though the other group had to manage it outside IMAX only L.

Cajoling people, enlightening them regarding child illiteracy, our campaign and Pankhudi and distributing balloons to the cutie pies are what followed afterwards. To our astonishment, everyone listened patiently and without much effort many voluntarily came to our banners to penned down their thoughts. It was good to see people thinking what to write for our caption " Childhood: God's gift or Nature's Wrath!!!"

A small flaw in our bookmarks coming a bit late will definitely help us to refine our plans better in future. I apologize for delaying the printing of bookmarks but there were some guidelines, which we had to adhere to and we had to change the design at the nick of time. L

Refreshment of samosas and sandwiches in the rain and shipment of bookmarks enthused the volunteers and a second round of canvassing followed.

Bakki deserves all the credit of getting all the refreshments from Hitec City till Eat Street.

The response to our campaign was tremendous and we all were happy with our efforts.

Finally, at around 7:15 both the groups assembled at Eat Street and we had huge applause for all the volunteers.

I would also like to thank Ramesh, who had to run from pillar to post to get permission from the DCP. But, due to present tensed conditions, we couldn't get the permission L.

KuDoZ to all of you to make this drive successful.

Sanitation Drive :

Exhausted with previous days' work, all of us tried our best to be on time. Surya,amazing - he reached at 7:30 in the morning .. a thumbs up to u man !!!

One by one we all kept pouring in ;) and we put up banners and GVD posters all across the street and the Government School. Finally our gang was ready to take on the streets by 10:00 a.m.

We divided ourselves into groups of 2 and spread ourselves into 3 different lanes all across the slum. People with masks on their mouths, having dustpans and jhadoos in their hands and with some posters: what the hell are these people doing here, was definitely the first thought on every slum resident's mind.

Cleaning all the papers,leaves and even dirty plants with stinky smell was what we all had to deal with next. But I really appreciate that none of the volunteers for even once said "No" to cleaning any garbage on the streets. The volunteers were so dedicated that someone even proposed an idea to clean cow dung on the streets. Man, that would've been really shitty and messy J !!!!!

Conversing with slum residents was definitely a bit difficult for non-telugu speaking guys, but a telugu and non-telugu speaking combo helped us to resolve the problem.I could even see non-telugu speaking people to try learn some telugu J Educating people about sanitation and hygiene, requesting them not to throw garbage outside and distributing pamphlets containing steps to good hygiene,our main motto, was carried very aptly by all the volunteers.

Thumbs up to all the volunteers and people from MCH to carry this drive with utmost sincerity and dedication!!!!

A backbreaking work was followed by moments of merrymaking. Clash of the Titans including two teams of dumb charades made everyone forget their tiredness and the room burst into wild guesses from all corners.But hamara nanha sipahi bimaar ho gaya tha and all of us missed pulling Aparna's leg.

Bhookhe bhediye were desperately waiting for the food to come. When given an option between play and food, a unanimous vote went to "Pehle pet pooja phir kaam dooja". The girls (budding housewives) nicely served the food to everyone. Inke pati thoda sa khush to hone wale hain .Atleast jala hua khana(yeh log abhi amateur cooks hain) araam se khila to dengi :P..

Kidding !! Good job girls J. The food was delicious and I believe everyone chatofied their ungalis J

Education Awareness Drive

Around 3:30 pm, we all sprang into action once again. A round of cleaning the Government School,spreading the carpets ,setting up the projector,screen followed later on. Everyone went for a round of canvassing for the movie to every corner of the slum.

"Aru intaky movie unnadi meeru andaro randdi"( I believe I have said it correct meaning : 6 baje movie hai aap log aaiye) became the caption for our evening. We even had people staring and laughing at us -the way some of us(non-telugu) pronounced it, but the message went across aptly.

The movie started at 6:20 pm. The people turned in decent numbers. We had hardly started the movie "Swadesh" when light started to create problems. Nikhil and Raj had to run multiple times to get extension cords and bulbs etc. Santosh ,Nishant and friends( I am really sorry I forgot their names L,u know 8085 processor hai mera ) and Gangadhar were continuously trying to keep the enthu alive amongst children and adults.Incessant effort by all the volunteers helped us to start the movie with renewed vigor.

Our problem had hardly been resolved when free dinner at a nearby Ganesh pandal played the spoilsport and people changed their directions. We came up with an idea to screen a telugu movie to attract them. The dedicated volunteers left no stone unturned to cajole people once again to come for the movie. The Pandal people were really helpful and they requested everyone to go for the movie after their dinner.

I believe this drive helped us to learn a lot of things and will help us to take precautionary measures in future.

In between the movie we had an interval, which involved screening of a few Education awareness videos and a brainstorming session with the adults and children. We educated the adults to send their children regularly to school, not only to make them literate, but also to help them develop as much more respectful citizens. We requested children not to drop out of school in between and urged the adults to implement the same. We also came across a few problems regarding improvement in the quality and dedication of teachers.

This session proved to be fruitful, may not be to our expectations, but I believe at least this helped us to raise awareness amongst these people and they will enlighten others with our message.

Finally, we all packed up at around 10:00 pm and went to have burgers at Sarvy.

I believe through this campaign, we have been able to enlighten people about their responsibility towards the society and serve their bit to the society, raise awareness amongst slum residents regarding Sanitation/Hygiene, enlighten people about the benefits of Education and last but not the least bring smiles on some faces at least.

I take the pleasure to thank all of the volunteers to make this campaign so successful. Kudos Guys and Gals !!!!

Surya and Kranthi ,thanks a lot for ur cooperation for making this work. Surya, with all the General Arrangement from printing to getting water you deserve a lot more than an applause from all of us buddy !!!

Our wait for Gangadhar to come back when he fooled us by taking Raj's bike for a ride.

Calling up Jyoti at 11:30 in the night to wish her happy b'day and her reaction when asked to pick us up from a place nearby her home.

I can definitely say these were some of the best days of my life in Hyderabad and Keep up the Good Work !!!!

One more thing yaaron, I have resigned from Oracle and I will be leaving Hyderabad on October 1^st. Please don't worry about the finances, I will get everything in place and will let everyone know as soon as the reimbursements come. I would definitely miss all of you..

Festivals

WOW!!!!!! Wht a spectacular month and half event. 3 festivals coming in tow one after the other....with 2 festivals i.e. Ganesh festival and Ramzan starting on the same day. That is truly a auspicious day. Bcoz this is the first time it happened in 30 yrs, and it was a joy to me and my frds bcoz we have worked hard to make the ganesh festival going in our colony and this time v made it a grand success. V did it in a splendid style and had fun every moment...even thou u must not c the managing the finance side....(BIG HEADACHE). But it was worth it...all it was for the sake of the festival. V even conducted "OOTI" like the one which ppl do for janmastami...ppl of all ages in the colony have participated in it....Last but not the least it was fun and througly enjoyed it.......and during the last 2 days of the pandal in our colony ...i was busy with my org. work where v were had a signature campaign and sanitation drive near Imax and Eat street and N.B.T.Nagar (Banjara Hills) in collaboration with a reputed IT company. It was hectic travelling and having to coordinate one side and take responsibility on the other side....but my frds understood that i was been sandwich in between...so they let me take my colony work as a priority rather than the org work as there where many ppl present.....i real thank them for they understanding...... After the immersion...now it was time for haleem.....i waited to eat it for 9 days.....as i was organizing the ganesh festival, i did not eat any non-veg food that time....after that i indulge myself in eating haleem and i enjoyed it.

Now as Ramzan has come to a end..i was thinking,wht festival wud come next and then Navaratri has come just within a week of Ramzan. I used to go to Garba when my frds used to stay here...but as they moved on...i did not go for the past 2 yrs....this year one of our org frd has invited us to the puja..and cultural activites which takes place in her club...This is the first time i had ever went to a Bengali Samiti. I must say..i have througly enjoyed it with my other frds...had a lot of fun time. At the same time we were there so that we can have some publicity

for the org. and have some donations..which v have collected and it wud be used for the better development of the kids. I was amazed by the way they were doing the puja....and was in total awe for it.....later there was dance at the end of the puja...something like the "teen maar"..i was hoping some of my frdss wud come by then..so that v cud also join in the dance....but it did not happen.....better luck next time. I was a roller coaster ride of 1 1/2 mnts.....now Diwali is coming up.....I am looking forward for it....so that v can enjoy a with crackers.......

general...

Life is a phase where one gets to enjoy the fruits of it to the fullest of rip old age or die at a young age with out seeing the world. Sometimes i think wht did these ppl do to deserve such a end,when they cud have had a wonderful life. I am into social activity for the past one yr + and the joy i try to bring on the slum children and orphans faces is a sight to see. It is like they want someone to seek their attention and when that happens then they are at their best behaviour,but been kids v shud not expect more from them, in turn we shud also enjoy with them....and have some fun and folic. This is wht we do at my organisation. And mind u i have no regets abt it....i throughly enjoy it...becoz helping the underpriveledge is something which the younger generation shud try to learn....and try to make them into and respectable citizens of the country.....for that thing to happen v shud have a infra-stucture in place....and then v can hope for a change...(plz forgive me if u dont understand this item,bcoz i felt like writing and this just came to my mind and i wrote it down).....

names

NAMES....each person has a name to differntiate for each other...if some have the same name then they have they surnames...each has a facination towards certain names or alphabets...as i have towards certain names..we feel some type of attraction towards that name,irrespective who he/she is and try to make frdship with them...i have made some frds merely due to the attraction of the name,but later on we all went to become gud frds...so each person has certain tastes in names also..some elder ppl when they r looking for alliance they say that they dont want a gal/boy who dont have certain name....but in general that is not a prob...so wht i am saying is that each person has some attraction towards certain names...

school days....

school days r one of the most memorable days in anyone's life.that is bcoz we spend the starting 16yrs of our education there.here we come in as a tiny tot not knowing anything,unaware of what is happening and come out as young adults how knows wht is right and wrong ...wht to do nad wht not to and so on.Here we step in as a loner and as the time goes by we make many frds,out of which some remain our best one,some remain as frds who we meet once a while,and frds whom we dont meet at all.In this name school we try to imbibe the qualities which the teacher teachs us and try to learn it in a better way...Man i still remember my school days ,they look asif it has happened yesterday itself.when i recollect the incidents ,the joy,sorrow,etc...i laugh,that is bcoz i have grown up and those memories act as a relief.but those were the stepping stones to my future.here we learn wht shud be done when we go out of school.if we cant remember wht we have done in our school days then it wud be a sad thing on the part of that person.that is bcoz he is forgetting the golden days of his/her young life.these can teach a lesson to our furture generations when we tell them as a story.In my school i had my likes and dislikes,had my share of frds and eneimnes..but all turned in to frds in due time as we cant stay in past forever,except one whom i still hate him .whenever i go to school i am remembered the teachers and sirs who still teach there.but man school days r my best days of life till now..

youth

youth of our country or for that matter any country r a great asset to it.but the youth in our country r of many kinds like(hard working,easy going,go-getters,and many more).in these the go-getters and hard working ppl wht they do is that they study here for some 20 yrs and then go to us or some foreign country where they earn well and stay back in that country.they only come back when they have retire or they wont come back also.but the piont here is that when we study here for a major portion of our lives ,why cant we work here and make our economy boom,instead of making us,uk or aus like countries boom they economy.it is a known fact that the best intelligent ppl in the world are indians and chinness.i dont care wht the latter ppl do,i care only wht our indians do.if we recollect the companies which r being running in america and generating millions of dollars to its economy r being runned or being employed by americans r indians.we do have the potential to make our country to go to the top spot.but that can only happen when 2 things stop, 1.youth devoted in bring a change in the politics of the country,2.we ppl stop going abroad and work in india and generate a healthy economy.i know that any thing of the above 2 happening is a rare case.but we have to keep in mind that after 2000 may indians came back to india and r residing here and if it continues to happen then we may c our country in the top spot.
Another thing which is that we youth should incalcate is that we should try to respect our flag and our national anthem and song.wht we intend to do is that we try to take these things litelly.we dont give the required respect to it.and if any one ask the person why he did not give respect ,then he comes back on us saying to mind our own business.
But if we go to other countries and c how they give importance to they flag and national song or anthem.everyone knows the song byhart.that is the difference between them and us.if we ask our ppl wht our national song and anthem is i am sure they wud either get the wrong one or say that they dont know..only a few wud be knowing the correct answer..
The problem here is that i am not against anyone who wants to go abroad,or who does not know the song or the anthem,it is that we shud take pride in saying that we r indians and we shud respect our cultures and basic ethics . we shud say proudly at the end of the day that we r proud to be indians .

wht to say

There r many things we like to say,but we cant say went the correct moment comes.when we ask wht happened we say that some silly reason.the things we might want 2 say out r (raise our voice if someone is wrong,when we cant see someone dying,against corruption,......and so on) but we can't do anything bcoz we r afraid,something may happen.even though we say we r a democratic country,we still dont have that freedom,even thought we c freedom in wht we do that's good,but real freedom comes when we r able to raise our voice against something.When someone raise a voice against a political leader,then he/she may be threatned saying they may kill them or do something,in doing so when the leader of the grp who started it may step back.this is the case in 95% cases,only the remaining ppl stand against them and they become icon for the youth.some of the classic cases r Medha patkar,Arundhati Roy, and some more...They r so powerful that even bigwig political leaders fear of them.we youth have to take inspiration frm them and move our country forward in every way possible.

After my first blog,i have taken time to write the second one bcoz....first i had to get a hang of blogging,second being the phase my family is going thru.As u may have read my first blog my granny fell down and broke her hip joint bone....but due to god grace and medical treatment she is able 2 walk and is on road to speedy recovery. On the other hand my uncle who was not well was being diagnosied with cancer.luckily it is a curable one,the curing process will take affect on his health as it is a radiation process for the next 6 months.he will back to normal in no time i hope so.and coming on to me well i was busy doing home chores as no male is there at home and had to run around.i was not well the whole saturday as i got a terrible back catch and it was as if somebody was hitting u on ur back wantedly and u cant do anything abt that.but by sunday it reduced and there was some relief to my back.well today i chatted with one of my chat frds the same topic which i wrote here and it was such a relief to share such things with others.bcoz it eases of some burden from us when we do such things.i hope everything comes back to normal as soon as possible.it was such a pain to hear wht he got bcoz,he is such a great man that even thought,he is such a widely recognised person in the medical field and many awards to his name,he remains humble and kind.he likes to help ppl and he was the person who was responsible for initiating the DOTS-TB program in the country.and the model is being name after he the murthy model as it was affective in slowly eradicating the TB diease from the ppl.and also these things like not well or some infection etc happen to ppl who r kind and generous.and others escape.lets hope for the best.

first blog...

hi this is my first blog.so dont know wht 2 say much.but ,i am depressed by the turn of events this week.that is bcoz my grandma falling down and breaking her hip joint,but by god grace she is fine and is able 2 walk slowly.and my uncle was not feeling wel for past 1 month and had some complication...so he is due for surgery on monday...hope everything goes wel.
